PHYSICAL HEALTH
Avoid carcinogenic foods, such as BBQ, grilled, and hotpot meats. Smoking, charring, or grilling meat at high temperature directly over an open flame, creates carcinogens, called Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) and Heterocyclic Amines (HCAs). These carcinogens can cause DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Risk of carcinogens formation is higher from red meat (beef, lamb, pork) [365 Cancer Prevention Society].
Avoid getting vehicle exhaust and cigarette smoke on your skin or hair, or breathing it in. Wear a mask if need be.
Avoid low fat milk and only go for full cream milk. Nutritionists have stated that there are various harmful chemicals added in low fat milk to produce the flavorful taste similar to full cream milk.
Consume more fruits and vegetables, especially vitamin C. This can be in the form of juices.
Consume more antioxidant-rich foods. I like Avocado Milkshakes which are high in antioxidants. Teas are another good example, especially green tea, chrysanthemum tea, and Pu’er tea (camellia).
MENTAL HEALTH
Moving water contains negative ions, which are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy [WebMD].
That’s why people quarrel less during thunderstorms. Adopt more moving water activities/objects in your life: Swimming, beaches, nature reserves, fountains, regular showers, etc.
