Mekong River

This enormously long river, the world's twelfth longest and the third longest in Asia, runs from the Tibetan Plateau through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. It is an integral part of many communities' lives, who depend on the river for various reason such as crop irrigation, drinking water, fishing, housing, dam electricity, and even tourism.
