The Nile

Disputed with the Amazon River as the longest river in the world, the Nile nevertheless served as an important water and transport source for many cities till today, with most of the population and cities of Egypt situated along parts of the Nile valley, and nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt being found along its river banks.
