Potala Palace

This magnificent fortress served as the Dalai Lama's winter palace from the 17th to 20th century and is regarded as one of the holiest buildings of Tibetan Buddhism. It now serves as a museum and tourist destination, housing many Buddhist sculptures, scriptures, and artifacts.
