Vatnajökull National Park

This giant national park encompasses all of Vatnajökull glacier and extensive surrounding areas, including the Skaftafell region. Its great variety of landscape features, created by the combined forces of rivers, glacial ice, and volcanic and geothermal activity, has made it one of the top attractions in Iceland.
